Description:
The High Density Gel Liner is a critical soft interface used between the prosthetic socket and the residual limb, primarily functioning to provide exceptional cushioning, stability, and control to the residual limb through its tight, robust gel material. This liner effectively absorbs pressures in both the vertical and shear directions, reducing the movement of residual limb soft tissues and pistoning, thereby diminishing the risk of skin irritation and injury, and enhancing wearing comfort. Its high-density gel material, combined with a fabric structure that allows limited longitudinal stretch, not only strengthens the suspension stability of the prosthesis but also improves the user's control over it, making it particularly suitable for users with high activity levels or patients transitioning from silicone liners to gel liners. Additionally, this liner offers excellent durability and adaptability, with some models featuring locking mechanisms or reinforced matrix designs to further enhance the safety and functionality of the prosthesis.
